Im still struggling with this - Im wondering if I export the data in the _content table to sql and then drop the table create a new table with modified structure to allow for null in the checked_out field use an sql editor to edit the data and then reimport if that might work . Problem is I havent got a test site so would need to create that first. Is this a possible solution?
